For Children
There are many activities for children in Ayr.
Ayr Gatehouse lies between Ayr and Prestwick beaches where you can
a stroll along the promenade enjoying an ice cream or play on the
sand and in the water.
The esplanade located south of Ayr harbour has a well equipped and
recently refurbished children's play area. There is a range of free
activities for visitors to enjoy. This is located right next to
Ayr beach which is predominately sand. From picnics and sand castles
to paddling, collecting shells and playing games, you can always
find something to do.
